Prohibition at Rosewood Hotel Georgia

Rosewood Hotel Georgia’s luxurious five-star Vancouver bar experience, led us to build upon themes of mystique, taboo and "half-hidden" as per the Prohibition era. The concept of "Vintage Modern” uses sophisticated letterforms and timeless stylistic cues to bridge the past with the present. A graphic florette comprised from logotype elements, evoke a sense of gathering and energetic celebration, while referencing the mixology aspect of drink ingredients.

Seduction by Colour

For over 40 years, Colette Gouin has been passionate with her painting, emotively capturing the raw colour and textures of nature on large scale canvases. Promotional pieces for Colette's 2014 Vancouver exhibition celebrate her “Seduction by Colour”, providing viewers and fans alike a closer glimpse at the dynamic energy found in her beautifully layered brushwork. The show was a resounding success with the majority of works sold and proceeds of select pieces donated to Pediatric Cancers Survivorship Society of BC.

St. Paul's Anglican

St Paul’s Anglican has been serving the broad Newmarket Ontario community for several decades, providing a very traditional church experience. A more modern approach was required for an evolving generation, and to manage expectations while extending to a wider demographic in need of spiritual growth and hope in their lives. The new logomark expresses St. Paul’s positive focus for growth, outreach and connection with others, no matter how diverse their backgrounds.

Webtech Wireless

Webtech Wireless develops and delivers end-to-end technological solutions providing effective, efficient remote management of vehicle fleets. The iconic W speaks of their integrated computing, wireless communications and global positioning systems for sending, receiving and storing info over vast networks, as well individual parts coming together to form a single solution. The directional arrows suggest themes of speed, efficiency, reduction (costs, environmental impact) and enhancement (service & instant communications).

Sudden Technologies

Sudden Technologies is a full-service systems integrator with innovative technology services, solutions & technical expertise. They take pride in providing solutions that take the complexity out of the technology, linking business goals with desired outcomes, and connecting systems via knowledgable and skilled personnel. The brand redesign made way for a new color palette, simplified company name and a bold graphic mark that speaks to strategic partnerships, connections and networking with confidence and stability.

Earls

Earls was known for fun casual dining experiences, with their share of California & animal-themed motifs. Styles change and so had their target market (urban singles, modern couples). This logo—in use for a decade—reflected that shift, revealing a simpler grown up attitude for the restaurant chain. The classic Earls typography was replaced with a proprietary wordmark, accompanied by a graphic illustration denoting the new offerings in the bar & drink area of their sleek renovated space.

Austeville Properties

Family-owned Austeville Properties has been offering exceptional rental accommodations in Vancouver for over 40 years. This brand refresh highlights the diversity of buildings and neighbourhoods for those requiring flexible living, and Austeville's fine management of commercial space for retail, office and industrial. I was tasked to update their existing logomark to reflect their new modern approach, working with custom watercolor illustrations by New York-based illustrator, Barry Blitt.

Shapray Cramer Fitterman Lamer

Shapray Cramer Fitterman Lamer is a boutique litigation firm that specializes in corporate and commercial conflict resolution and strategic advice. Originally established as a partnership with Howard Shapray and Brad Cramer, the growth brought on with additional lawyers initiated a brand refresh to replace previous print materials and add video and news content. Modern simplicity, professionalism and experience were the key attributes addressed in the crisp typography and clean execution of the brand materials.

MT Enviro Tank

MT Enviro Tank specializes in the detection and removal of furnace oil tanks from residential and commercial properties with minimal disruption to the landscape. Their environmental consulting division, MT Enviro Tech, remediates soil contaminated by hydrocarbons from leaking tanks. To stay competitive and current, simplified naming and a brand refresh was required. The custom logotype uses color to convey each division's focus (land/earth vs. enviro/technical), while the graphic shape (oil drop or lifted tank) connects them visually.
